Today I wanted to cover a completely different topic, but when I opened social media in the morning, I realized that February 4 is World Cancer Day.

Unfortunately, in Ukraine, very little attention is paid to this problem, and very little is said and written about it. In Germany, I saw the other side - almost every hospital has brochures and posters about cancer, and they have implemented many preventive measures to detect cancer at early stages.
The attitude towards cancer patients in Germany is fundamentally different from what we have in Ukraine. In Germany, a person with such a verdict is given a chance and inspired with faith, even when there is no hope at all. In Ukraine, unfortunately, in the vast majority of cases, it becomes a sentence and the person is usually treated as dead - and this applies not only to doctors but even to close friends and relatives. There is always a chance for healing - you must always believe until the very end, until your last breath.
Cancer does not ask people if they have money for treatment, does not look at social status, and does not pay attention to age. Cancer is merciless to people, it burns a person from the inside out and destroys his/her whole being. It does not ask whether you were a good person or not, whether you stole or not, whether you killed other people or served people. Cancer comes without notice when it was not expected at all and, as a rule, is already at the third stage, when there are very few chances for healing. Some people with great strength of spirit manage to live with cancer, even not realizing that the body has being already metastasized.
Cancer has become the most common disease of our time, and despite the gigantic development in medicine and technology, humanity has not yet invented that magic pill that will cure 100% and never relapse.
Don't neglect yourself and your health, take time for yourself and get checkups. Be attentive to yourself and your body. Don't be afraid to say it out loud. Create a culture of a different perception of this disease and a supportive space for the person going through it. Do not treat such a person as a dead person, do not kill his/her faith. Change your attitude and perception.
And most importantly, cancer, like any other very serious disease, came to a specific person for a specific reason. From the point of view of metaphysics, this is an internal stimulus to awakening, very painful and exhausting, unexpected and unfair, but this stimulus makes you change through intense pain and suffering.
Do not give the disease a chance - give yourself a chance!!!
