Nature therapy

For me, unity with nature is not only good for supporting my mental health and restoring my inner strength and energy, but also is a source of inspiration.

Nature therapy

Walking outside somewhere in nature has become almost the main resource for me to support myself and my inner peace during turbulent and difficult times. Forests, mountains, rocks, and of course water, lake or river, sea or ocean…. Each has its strength and energy, but they are all soothing and restorative. Such communication is especially good for people who cannot stop are always in a hurry and have not yet tried the practice of meditation, so walking outside is the first step. The second step is complete unity with nature, when you feel it, hear it, observe it and there is only you and nature, other people and situations somewhere out there don't matter at all, matters only you as a Soul and the Nature that restores you. You begin to feel the power and energy of this or that forest, this or that tree, this or that natural element. You understand what is better for you, where you are comfortable and calm, and where the energy is still too concentrated for you, you realize when you have enough such communication and for now, you should stop.

Unity with nature, or nature therapy, for me means:
  • Restoration of equilibrium and balance during any stress, anxiety, anger, or apathy.

  • Restoration of inner strength and inner energy after an emotionally exhausting day or week.

  • The opportunity to be alone with yourself and listen to the Silence of your Soul.

  • Calming the nervous system.

  • Filling the body and the mind with oxygen.

  • Hiking is good for the body, soul, and brain, as any such walks or "dates" with nature require a lot of walking.

  • Slowing down thoughts and switching first inside, firstly on my breathing and body, and then outside, to the beauty of nature.

  • Training the skill to see beauty everywhere.

  • Motivated contemplation that fills and expands you. And then imperceptibly a smile appears on the face, not like a mask, but naturally and the longer your path is, the bigger the smile will be, and the eyes will radiate light, warmth, and joy, and begin to shine and glow again.

  • Exploring new territories without a route or plan destroys old circuits and programs in the brain, eliminating old neural connections and thereby creating new neural connections.

  • Activation of sexual energy, which is otherwise called the energy of creativity, when inspiration, new ideas, and dreams appear.

  • Stimulation of passion for what you do, for what you live, for life in general.

I walk almost every day in the forest near my house, but today I went to another city to walk near the lake. Sometimes I walk slowly, sometimes I sit a lot, contemplate or meditate, and sometimes, when negativity and thoughts fully absorb me, I walk very fast and rhythmically to vanish all the nonsense and mental crap and walk like this until I feel complete relief and inner peace.

Try to find time for yourself and your "dates" with nature, and you will see how it will positively affect you.
