DAY 3. MEDITATION. BREATH OBSERVATION.

Updated: Aug 19, 2024

Today is our 3 Day of the “Month of Conscious Life”. And this is the day for Meditation "Breath observation". There are a lot of types and versions of meditation. But breath observation is one of my favourite practices.

Month of Conscious Life

Meditation:

  • Calms the mind.

  • Balances the nervous system.

  • Restores strength and energy.

  • Reduces stress, tension, and anxiety.

  • Refocuses on the positive side.

  • Teaches to be here and now, in this very moment.

  • Helps to become more conscious.

  • Changes your mindset and way of life.

  • Cultivates your creativity.

Meditation is not about tension but about relaxation, not about control but about observation, not about internal struggle and resistance, but about letting go and dissolving any internal struggle and resistance.

For me, meditation is:

  • Diving into the depths of yourself, your consciousness, getting to know yourself, not the limited Personality, but the limitless Soul.

  • Communicating with Soul and Higher Self.

  • Observing thoughts, not getting stuck in them, and not developing plots in your head, but simply O.B.S.E.R.V.I.N.G.

  • The realization that you are not your body or your thoughts, you are much more.

  • Going beyond the limited ego that controls us.

  • Finding the point of your inner silence and balance, where there are answers to all questions, where there is knowledge and deep wisdom.

  • A journey that reveals your strengths, hidden potentials, and talents (things that need to be strengthened more), on the one hand, and negative and dark aspects (what should you let go).

  • Finding your path for evolution and development.

  • Establishing contact with your body, soul, and mind.

  • Calming the inner voice of Monkey Mind.

  • An effective technique for dealing with panic, fear, panic attacks, aggression, criticism, dissatisfaction, condemnation, indignation, etc.

  • Returning to the moment, here and now.

So, please sit down in a lotus position somewhere in a calm place, close your eyes, straighten your back, and breathe deeply. Not overtry. Better to sit with not very straight back and feel comfortable and relaxed, than to sit with a very straight back but feel extreme tension and stress. Then very slowly begin to focus on your breathing (but not control it), feeling the breath, observing how it influences your body, your inner systems, and your cells. Just observe. Observe your breathing. Observe how you make the inhalation and the exhalation, and how your cells react. Don’t give up too quickly. I don’t know any person who could do it from the first time. Calmly practice. Open your eyes, smile, and thank yourself and your body for this exciting experience.

I wish you good luck in your small journey.
